Dave Rohde, Held by Taliban for 7 Months, Escapes

Rohde It was a story -- or non-story -- that E&P kept tabs on almost from the beginning behind the scenes.  Media cooperated with NYT in not reporting it at all for 7 months.  Today NYT reports that well-known reporter David Rohde has finally escaped from the Taliban. Even blogs were almost completely silent -- or in the dark.  One of the most amazing media blackouts in history, to be sustained this long and for such a prominent reporter and news outlet.  UPDATE:  A full E&P account.
