'NYT' and Murdoch: The Plot Thickens
We posted a few days ago about Michael Calderone at Politico printing a brief excerpt from the new Michael Wolff bio of Rupert Murdoch, out today. This morning, the NYT ran a fairly negative review of the book, accusing Wolff of being both too kind to the mogul and also not really getting the inside story. Now Calderone returns to cover a flare-up over one part of the book. It alleges that the NYT killed a critical series about Murdoch due to pressure from News Corp. The NYT denies that. It's all here. UPDATE: Wolff bites back at Newser.com, saying he was disapponted by negative NYT review of book: "He's just loathsome -- not least of all, it's fair to assume, because
Murdoch is the most likely buyer of the beleaguered Times."

Fixated on the future, obsessive about competitors, willing to Disrupt and full of White Space projects to try new things has made News Corporation a powerhouse - at a time when most media companies (look at Tribune Corporation) fear failure.
