Latest Major Newspaper Endorsements for Obama -- From Arizona and Mississippi

Joining the bandwagon -- Obama leads in our E&P tally by better than 2-1 -- today were a leading daily in McCain's home state of Arizona and the biggest paper in deep-red Mississippi, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger.   The latter, an opponent of civil rights for blacks back in the bad old days, had gone for Bush in 2004, making it one of well over 50 that have made that switch to Obama. -- Greg Mitchell

By my count, there are over 60 newspapers that have switched from Republican to Democrat over the past 4 years, and the total tally in the endorsement race is now at 424 to 130 in Obama's favor. For a comprehensive list (including several dozen papers that E&P has so far missed), check out:
