Kristol Still Palin Around

Kristol At a morning confab this morning on the 2008 campaign, NYT columnist (for now) Bill Kristol continued to defend his pushing of Sarah Palin for the GOP ticket, despite all the polls that show she was a disaster. Kristol admitted that she cost McCain some votes, mostly "blue state swing voters," but added that she gave McCain "at least a shot of getting the Electoral College votes he needed in states like Ohio."   The major problem with that argument is:  It was the "swing voters" in Ohio that fled McCain in droves, partly (or largely)  because of Palin, and that ended up costing him the state, and probably others.
