Tribune Names Winners of Music Video Contest

The Tribune Company and HCD Research announced the winners of Ballads for Ballots 2008, a national music video contest.  Top Democratic Music Video went to "Song of Hope" by David Steele, and the winning Republican Music Video was "Townhall Rap Battle"  by Nick Wetzel. 

The contest was hosted this summer on both The Swamp, the politics and government news blog powered by the Tribune Company, and mediacurves.com, the HCD Research Web site, which features perspectives on popular and controversial media events and advertisements.

Submissions were 45 to 90-second music videos in support of a 2008 presidential candidate or political party. During the contest, video entries were featured nationally on Fox Interactive Web sites and on XM Radio. Each winner will receive $5,000. One winner at top and here's one below.-- Dexter Hill
