As we pointed out yesterday, the NYT sparked the new Ayers-mania attacks on Obama with its decision to return to a long-dead issue, add nothing really new -- and place it on the top of its front page Saturday. Sarah Palin in her assaults on Obama the past few days has repeatedly cited the Times. Now in a rare TV interview she makes it even more explicitly. --Greg Mitchell

You'd think when Couric asked her to name a newspaper she read, she'd say the NYT just so she could have some credibility when discussing their content.
The Repubs are definitely working the refs.
