Weekend Links: This and That
A few random links on a warm, sunny day in the Northeast -- so get off the phone and try something here. St. Louis Post-Dispatch endorses Obama. George Bush is happy HE is in charge during this financial crisis. AP probe finds that Palin as governor blended Church and State. TIME tells us what the new Troopergate report really means. NYT fact-checks all that Acorn stuff. Gail Collins: Another witty column. Remember all those media reports on Hillary backers who were going to shun Obama? New Newsweek poll (as we predicted) shows he is winning them 88% to 7%. Ooops. Both Maureen Dowd and Frank Rich hit McCain on Sunday for inspiring mob-like crowds.
I hope I speak for millions of Americans when I ask when is this going to end? When are we trully going to get a goverment that is concerned about the people they supposedly represent? That greed & injustice at every level needs to stop! Why does the hard working decent public have to deal with not making enough to pay bills & raise a family and enough to have a savings account?! While everyone in the goverment are well off, while the people that voted them in are struggling to have a life. Granted not everyone that is in dire straits is blameless but I know that most people just want to have a roof over their head and food to eat at a reasonable price and a wage that can give us a chance to have that life, that chance to be happy just like it states in the constitution.
