Asheville Paper: Bear Killed, Draped with Obama Signs

The Asheville (N.C.) Citizen Times reports, "A dead bear was found dumped this morning on the Western Carolina University campus, draped with a pair of Obama campaign signs, university police said."

Maintenance workers at 7:45 a.m. found  a 75-pound bear cub dumped at the roundabout at the entrance to campus, said Tom Johnson, chief of university police. “It looked like it had been shot in the head as best we can tell. A couple of Obama campaign signs had been stapled together and stuck over its head,” Johnson said.  University police called in N.C. Wildlife Resources officials to remove the body and help in the investigation. “This is certainly unacceptable,” Johnson said. “Someone was wanting to draw attention to the election.

"If we find out who they are, we’ll make sure Western Carolina University deplores the inappropriate behavior that led to this troubling incident," said Leila Tvedt, associate vice chancellor "We cannot speculate on the motives of the people involved, nor who those people might be. Campus police are cooperating with authorities to investigate this matter."

I have seen many of the Obama rallies and i didnt hear anyone called a terrorist or a socialist. I didnt hear anyone calling "off with his head" or "kill him" like some of the hateful words spewed at the McCain/Palin rallies. Whether the person(s) who did this are Reps or Dems does not matter. They have no convictions except those of doing as much harm as they can, as often as they can, out of hatred and ignorance; they have no respect for life, human or otherwise. Tommy, are you even talking about this story? Stevens is on trial, Rangel is not, Dodd is not, Franks is not. Though they are all largely responsible for the housing crisis. ALL of Washington needs to be held accountable for the corruption. I think we are at a level of 90% corruption if not more. Want to talk about violence? What about McCain's bus being attacked in New Mexico? The news does not report that...AND I do not like McCain very much, but I can see bias. I get amazed when people make generalization like all republicans are racists and we are a few sheets away from the Klan, etc. I get amazed when the news media tells us that if we don't vote for Obama we are racists because any "intelligent" person should be able to see that he is the obvious candidate of choice for America. This article is about a poor bear that was ruthlessly shot and killed, not about racism. Get a clue, and an education before you start spewing your garbage. Study history and you will see that the Democrat party was started to perpetuate slavery and the Republican party to end it.

Study history some more and you'll see the parties are more like their opposition's ancestor than their own. Second, they were far more concerned with reuniting the country under one federal government than they were concerned about slavery, it was about power not ethics, so forget everything you learned in 2rd grade "America is infallible" history and buy a real book.
