Coming from 'NYT Magazine' This Sunday: Twitter and ... Harry Shearer?

Burns_monty_3 This Sunday's NYT Magazine, which we just received, features a Dexter Filkins cover story on his "journey into Pakistan's tribal areas -- the real front in the war against militant Islam." Then there's a feature  on Twitter and NewsFeed and other threats to the media as we know it ... David Frum, the longtime GOPer, reflects on why "income inequality is destroying the GOP base."

And then Deborah Solomon interviews Harry Shearer, who says that when he comes back to the U.S., customs officials sometimes ask him to do one of his "Simpsons" voices, such as Monty Burns. "Sometimes I oblige," he reveals. "I have a need to return home." He also predicts that there will be no political conventions in 2012 -- each will be "a reality show." -- Greg Mitchell
